Trauma Informed Therapy for First Responders
At Kitchener Therapy Collaborative, we provide safe, compassionate trauma-informed therapy for those who risk themselves and their families, to protect us and our families. We are passionate, skilled and trained in assessing and treating trauma-related challenges, including operational stress symptoms, post-traumatic stress disorders/injuries and symptoms consistent with these injuries. We will work with you from a place of safety to address the psychological aspects of stress and mental health. As social workers we cannot diagnose, but we will work with you to assess symptoms and develop a plan for your recovery. Using a collaborative approach, we will work with your other health care practitioners, if requested, to support you as you heal from your injuries. We follow the research and listen to you, the client, to develop best-practice for working with first responders, military members and veterans. We see you, you matter to us. At Kitchener Therapy Collaborative, our approach is direct, transparent, respectful and compassionate and every step is co-created with you. We understand that your high-stress positions are unique and require an approach that meets your specific needs. Our therapy services include, but are not limited to: couples work, work with family members, individual work and group work for spouses/partners.

Consultation and Collaboration
As social workers, we believe in supporting you in the context of your environment, which might include your family, school, workplace, and other health providers. We understand that you are more than the presenting issue that brings you to counselling. As such, we will collaborate with other service providers to help you achieve your goals, with your expressed consent.
